Unmanned and Autonomous Vehicle Engineering
Aerial drones, small tactical robots, driverless vehicles, and even consumer products like vacuums are all made possible via robotics. We specialize in robotics engineering, providing clients with the hardware and systems required to produce autonomous machines that achieve their greater goal.
We have extensive experience producing group 1 and group 2 unmanned aerial systems. Whether you require a single component, a 3D model, or a trusted partner to manage a complete prototype development process, we have the engineering expertise you’ll need.
We design, develop, test, manufacture, and integrate engineered equipment and solutions for the military, law enforcement, and civilian markets. From tactical wheeled vehicles to unmanned surveillance systems, we work with organizations to ensure their solutions meet the highest quality standards.
Unmanned and autonomous vehicle engineering is shifting from being a luxury to a necessity within the industrial sector. Robots are being utilized for machine tending, assembly, palletizing, and much more. We provide commercial enterprises with robotic and automation solutions that enhance efficiency and deliver maximum value. Believe it or not, much of the work we do for government agencies parallels the requirements of the agricultural industry in that high reliability in harsh environmental conditions, low probability of failure, and operator-friendly field maintenance are priorities.
Automated machinery, commercial delivery systems, agricultural machines, and landmine detection vehicles are just a few examples of autonomous ground vehicles. These pieces of equipment require meticulous mechanism design and development to ensure they operate in corrosive dirty environments and maintain optimal performance. As
We often integrate Government-Owned Off-The-Shelf (GOTS) or Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) components into a single system in just a few months. The majority of parts and assemblies are designed and fabricated in-house, providing high cost-savings to our clients. Our system integration history includes micro-UASs to the Marine Corps Assault Amphibious Vehicle (AAV) and hardware integration communications integration of third-party systems such as anti-UAS and satellite communication systems.
Who We Are
Stratomech was founded in Bowling Green, Virginia, by Johnny Chandler in 2013. After spending years with an engineering firm, Johnny realized he found the most fulfilment in taking a design from a black and white description on paper to an operational prototype. From designing and fabricating biomimetic exploding birds to integrating remote weapon stations in amphibious armored vehicles, Stratomech has the competency and equipment to take on a wide range of bottom-up prototyping and integration efforts.
Today, Stratomech is based in Summerville, South Carolina and is a renowned rapid prototyping facility with an established reputation for exceeding expectations in record time.
As unmanned vehicle engineers, it is our duty to clarify project objectives and deliver high-impact, innovative solutions that achieve all desired outcomes. We live up to this duty by being accountable to our clients at all times and maintaining only the highest ethical standards.
We strive to bring expert judgement and thorough knowledge to each task we take on. We’re committed to continuous learning and improvement, and we refuse to move forward with a project until we’re confident we can complete the job correctly. Cutting corners simply isn’t an option.
Our rapid prototyping facility was established to make prompt, high-throughput service possible for our clients. Not only do we complete the job competently, but we also get it done with time to spare. If you’re in need of quick mechanism design, product prototyping, or unmanned systems development, we’re here to make it happen.
We approach each project with three fundamental values in mind:
Your Premier Product Development Partner
